This may be totally unnecessary post, but sometimes you may be looking for your phones user guide.I thought it would be helpful if I can share the User guide link.
Here's the link http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/apac/phones/guides/Nokia_3110_APAC_UG_en.pdf
Language : English
This is the same as we get when we buy a new phone.
It can be helpful if you need phone's security code and other information.
Use your Nokia phone as a remote control for your PC with Nokia Wireless Presenter. Using Bluetooth wireless technology, this software allows you to control your Windows desktop applications, such as:
Slide presentations: Compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint, the Nokia Wireless Presenter lets you browse presentation slide titles.
Music and DVD player applications in your PC.
The Nokia Wireless Presenter software is composed of two parts:
The PC component available below.
The "Presenter" application preinstalled on your Nokia phone.
The previous version of Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0 has been updated to Ovi Suite 3.1. Just go tothis page and choose the version compatible to your phone.
Note : If have limited bandwidth or low internet speed, don't waste your time replacing your older version. I have hardly noticed any changes from the previous version. But the software has become more stable and many bugs in previous version has been corrected.
If you are cursing your mobile for slow internet speeds then please don't do it. I have complained to myself for the pathetic internet speed.
As I know now, the actual problem may be your operator, or the improper settings.
Nokia 3110c employs Class 8 EDGE, which i don't know the meaning, but what I know is higher end mobiles have Class 32 and Class 33 EDGE.
I have got up to 49Kb/s (Kilobytes not kilobits) which was only instantaneos(Please dont misunderstand this as some initial readng which we saw very high when our download starts. This speed was obtained about middle of download)
I have got abot constant speed ranging from 20-33Kb/s for large files downloads
Got some speed around 12-20Kb/sec for smaller and peak time downloads
NOTE
Please understand that this data are obtained while using computer and not through mobile browser
Our default mobile browser sucks.
You should better use Opera Mini or UC Browser
If you are an frequent internet user through your Nokia 3110c mobile phone, then I recommend you should always have a copy of both Opera Mini 4.2 and Opera Mini 5.1 on your mobile phone.
* For a quick need, i suggest you must use 4.2 rather than 5.1 which have more loading time.
* Be sure that you are using 5.1 while downloading because only it has download manager.
*If you want to check your email, facebook, twitter etc using your mobile frequently, then use 5.1 because it has the facility to store your password and username.
*Using of 5.1 causes overloading, because it uses more processor percentage than the 4.2
It is necessary to check your software version, to know whether you are outdated or not.
Just dial *#0000# and you may get the following result
Nokia 3110c ==> Phones name
v 07.21 ==> Software version/firmware

Latest version for Nokia 3110c is v 07.21 and oldest is v 06.01
As mentioned, the most important advantage of the KD player is that it can change its skin. You may think that this will be basic colour change. No, its more than that and your can turn it into a new player.
There are two steps for getting the skin
Download the skins you liked(For screen size 128 x 160)
Extract zip file . Now you will get two files with extensions "kdi" and "kds"
Copy it into your phone memory.
My selection
Out of all the skins from the official sites , i have chosen some favorites which are most compatible and good looking.
Download and extract this .zip file and copy the whole to your memory card
You find it very useful, if you are using KD player on your mobile for the first time. Here are the step by step instructions for configuring your KD player to handle your music files.
Adding files to library
Open KD Player
Click on 'Menu'
Click on 'preferences'
Select 'Folders for scanning'
Click 'Menu'
Select 'Add folder'
Browse to your music folder(Highlight the folder- Do not enter)
Click 'Menu' and Select 'Save to this folder'
Now Folders for scanning is complete
Go back to main menu and select 'Menu > Update library'
Sometimes while experimenting with your phone settings, the phone modem may not get recognized by the computer or while dialing a connection it may show improper modem configuration.
This can be corrected by reinstalling your phones drivers. Here are the steps for reinstalling phones drivers: Uninstalling Current Driver
Right click My Computer and select Properties
Select Hardware
Click Device Manager
Expand Modem tree. You will find your phone modem there. (Make sure your phone is connected during this operation)
Right Click and select uninstall
Disconnect phone and reboot the system
Your Modem will get uninstalled. Then reinstall by following procedures
Reinstalling Modem
Connect your phone and click Nokia Mode(Or pc suite mode)
Your modem drivers will get automatically installed
Otherwise
Open device manager as explained above
Click actions on file menu and click 'Scan for hardware changes'
This may be joke to some experts, but i think of adding this post also.
It is about how to connect your PC to net using your Nokia 3110c phone.
Here are the steps
At first we have to configure the phone for your net usage. To configure it on phone, go to settings>connectivity>Packet data>packet data settings>Edit access point. In this menu, check whether the access point and alias name are correct(If you don't know the access point contact your customer care or search the net). If it is not configured correctly, correct it. Thus the configuration in the phone is complete.
Then open Network connection by going to control panel.
From the menu bar, click the file menu and click new connection
Click 'next' twice and on the screen click" Set up connection manually" and then click 'next'.
Select"using dial up modem" and click next
Select the modem you want to use(In this case our phones modem). If you have only one modem installed this step may not appear.
Type in any isp name . This is for your reference only
Type the phone number as *99# . This is the default number for connecting using phone(Well, I am not so sure ). Click next.
If you need a username and password while connecting type it here.( It is not a place of registering. It is generally left blank for phones 'or otherwise contact your customer care)
Click next and then finish.
Now your dial up connection is ready and you can connect to internet without opening pc suite every time. Just go to start>connect to>"the name you have given for connection" and click dial.
Not connecting ---------check this
Go to control panel and click phone and modem options
Check if your location and area code is correctly displayed.
Click on modems tab
Select our modem and then click properties
In the appeared window, select the diagnostics tab and click query modem.
Check the result (appearing in command-response space above the tab), if it says success, then your modem is correctly installed, if not try reinstalling phones drivers
Now click on the advanced tab and delete any the extra initialization command
Here is the way for checking your whether your modem is installed correctly or not.
