Error : Cannot Install Java Applications/games using pc suite

Like me you have also encountered problem while installing applications using pc suite saying the phone is being used or busy.
I haven't found any solution for this but I can advice you to get the application installed most of times.
As you connect your phone via pc suite / ovi suite synchronization starts. Its a background process and we don't notice it. We cannot install application during this period. Wait for this to get over. Synchronization details will be displayed on your phone screen when it is complete.

Also, if you have just switch on-ed your device wait for sometime. There are many background process going on mainly music library updating.

Error: Messages not showing contact names

After sim removal or sim change the inbox won't be showing the senders name even it is saved. This is a simple problem and is due to change in contact memory. After sim change the contact memory get changed to ' both phone and sim '. Change it to phone and you can solve this.

Error:Not playing '.mp4' or mp4 video files OR Video Support Details Of Nokia 3110c

Nokia 3110c supports both 3gp and mp4 video files.
But the problem is it doesn't play the files with high bit-rate and size.

If you have a mp4 file and phone is unable to play it then it is due to this problem.
The main causes for this is

#high bit-rate and size.
#Even if the file extension is .mp4 the video codec will be some thing else.This is the cause that we cannot play the video from the youtube or any other streaming website.

Remedy for this is to convert your file to a .mp4 file with required settings or parameters
Here are the video support data

!Video codec : mpeg4(.mp4)
!Video size :176x144(higher values are not supported)
!Video Bitrate :96(or try 64)
!Video frame-rate :12(or try 15, but not above)
!Audio codec : acc,mp3
!Audio bitrate :128(phone supports more but then video and audio will not be synchronized and there will be lagging )
!Sample Rate :44100(Some times called frequency)
!Audio video syn :set 'basic' for good i/p and default for low i/p sources(Not available in all converters

Note:
If you are using nokia pc suite for converting videos then set the quality to medium in settings

Errors:Unable to save configuration settings

It is often seen that in later periods our phone seems unable to save the configuration settings from the GPRS service provider.

This can be due to virus or minor software crash.

Solution to this problem is unknown to me..

But , if you have a previously backup-ed settings in ur PC you can remove this problem.
(But take a backup of ur updated 'contacts only' )

Creating personalized settings for GPRS wont change any defects..(it doesn't changed mine)

Errors:Phone not recoganizing contacts

This is one of the important problem that after battery removal, contact names are not seen when we get a call or message from saved contact.

This is due to following reason :
If you have saved a copy of your contact to your sim card, after battery removal the the contact memory get changed to both phone and sim(This also occurs after restoring factory settings).Since both are having name for same no: phone gets confused and responds as unsaved contacts.

Therefore change the contact memory to phone only or sim only
